Based on the 2017 National Electrical Code® (NEC) and the 2018 International Residential Code (IRC). This class covers everything from general requirements, a comparison chart of NEC and IRC Tables, grounding and bonding, branch circuits, and overcurrent protection, to lighting, appliances, pools, and more.
Continuing Education Credit: 6 hours
After taking this course, the participant should be able to:
- Understand Article 100 definition changes and requirements for electrical installations.
- Describe torqueing requirements for terminal connections.
- Identify new locations where AFCI protection is required.
- Understand expanded GFCI requirements.
